Devotional Gatherings

Devotional Gatherings are regularly scheduled meeting times of collective worship - the exaltation of God - and sharing a devotional spirit of joy, love and fellowship.
Devotional Gatherings are held on Sundays at 11 am at the Baha'i Center at 3808 Bardstown Rd., in Louisville. An all-ages class for children is held during the devotional meeting. Devotionals are also hosted in private homes throughout greater Louisville and the surrounding counties. Readings are taken from the Baha'i Writings and the Holy Scriptures of Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Zoroastrian, and Buddhism. Participants are often encouraged to bring their prayer book, Baha'i Scripture, Bible, Qur'an, Torah, and selections of other Sacred Writings to share and prayer requests are often honored. Musical selections are often diverse, coming from a variety of cultures and styles. There is no established ritual, no request for funds, and light refreshments are often served.

Unity

O my God! O my God! Unite the hearts of Thy servants, and reveal to them Thy great purpose. May they follow Thy commandments and abide in Thy law. Help them, O God, in their endeavor, and grant them strength to serve Thee. O God! Protection

O God, my God! I have set out from my home, holding fast unto the cord of Thy love, and I have committed myself wholly to Thy care and Thy protection. I entreat Thee by Thy power through which Thou didst protect Thy loved ones from the wayward and the perverse, and from every contumacious oppressor, and every wicked doer who hath strayed far from Thee, to keep me safe by Thy bounty and Thy grace. Enable me, then, to return to my home by Thy power and Thy might. Thou art, truly, the Almighty, the Help in Peril, the Self-Subsisting. -Baha'u'llah

Healing

Thy name is my healing, O my God, and remembrance of Thee is my remedy. Nearness to Thee is my hope, and love for Thee is my companion. Thy mercy to me is my healing and my succor in both this world and the world to come. Thou, verily, art the All-Bountiful, the All-Knowing, the All-Wise. -Baha'u'llah
