The festival of Ayyam-i-Ha will be celebrated beginning at sunset on February 25th to sunset of March 1st as preparation for the Fast, which begins March 2nd and ends March 20th. During Ayyam-i-Ha, Baha’is all over the world will perform acts of charity, give gifts to friends and family and attend social gatherings.
The Louisville Baha’i Community will celebrate Ayyam-i-Ha on Sunday, February 28, 2010 at the Baha’i Center. The Ayyam-i-Ha program will begin at 11 a.m. and following the program Pizza will be served until 12:30 p.m. Volunteers are being asked to provide salads, veggie plates and desserts. Following lunch there will be lots of children‟s activities and lots of time for adults to socialize.
The event will end at 2 p.m. Teachers of children’s classes throughout the area will be contacted to help plan activities and games for the event. Small gifts will be provided to the children. Volunteers are needed to help man the Activity Centers. Please call Lisa at (502)554-7642.
